I did something today that I honestly didn't think I had the guts to do. But I did. And I now feel so much better. All it took was a little positivity and courage.
Go me
<3
Also, I did the abs and butts class today at Yoga and I hurt. Everywhere. But I love it. Woo!

"Do it with passion or not at all"
Yesterday my mom and I went for a walk through Tynhead, obviously haha. We saw tons of salmon in the river as we were walking. It's that time of year! So we stopped back at the Hatchery. We've been in there lots of times before and the old guys working in there have always been so so SO pleasant with us. They are so welcoming and so happy and eager to talk to you about their work and about the fish. I just love it when someone is so passionate about what they do. And they're all volunteer!
So, yesterday, when we went to go to see them, we had perfect timing! They were just about to lift up the grated crate where the fish were and count each one. So we got to see every fish as they pulled them out and even showed us how the eggs came out of the females. There were chinook, coho, chum, sockeye...All so beautiful and ready to end their journey of life :) It was a good day.
Later that afternoon I arrived to the apartment and Ryan and I headed out to Aldor Acres. We got there right before 'closing' time. So, right before they stop letting anyone else in. But they told us we could stay as long as we want and there would be no rush. It was nice to feel like we had the place to ourselves. It may have been raining but I will take that over crowds any day. I got to see my chickens!! And the piggies, which made me super happy.
We ended the day with cuddling on the couch with some tea and a movie before it was off to bed for me.
Today is Wednesday. Almost the weekend! Friday is the Halloween party, Saturday is the party at our friend Brandyn's house, and then Sunday is my momma's birthday. I'm getting a cake made for her and hopefully taking her out fishing. We shall see how the weather co-operates. If not fishing then a day of relaxing and possibly sushi for lunch! Woo!
Did I mention I love my life?

"Today I had a thought...what if I had never met you?"
These girls are nothing short of amazing. I am so lucky to have them in my life. Words cannot begin to describe how much they mean to me and how they have always been there for me no matter what. Our 10th annual cookie day is this year and we plan to make it extra special! I can't wait <3

Jealousy
Was eating breakfast and read this on my lunch bag. Nothing could be more true.
Live your own life. Quite copying people. Be yourself.
Happy Monday Ya'll
This weekend was fantastic.
On Friday I went dancing to Gabby's with my best of friends <3 I don't know about them, but I had an absolute amazing night. Maybe it was the tequila...or maybe the long islands haha, but I danced my heart out to my favorite music and got to do it with my lovely and most favorite ladies. Can't for the next round.
Saturday had a lazy morning. Which was followed by Ryan and I pigging out on Caesars and lots of greasy food from Ricky's. Definitely made me feel better. We then hungout with my parents for a bit and headed back home with Shadow and Kobe so they could have a sleepover! Ryan and I made dinner for our friend Mark and watched movies and hungout. It was a good night :)
Sunday morning I spent with my momma <3 I love her to pieces. We walked around Fort Langley for over an hour! Got some coffee's and drove around Glenn Valley. Beautiful morning.
Then for lunch I met up with this gorgeous red head I know and went for sushi for lunch and then shopping afterward. She got her ears pierced while I watched haha. It was a lovely afternoon.
After that I went home to my parents and spend some time with them before heading back to Fort Langley.
Ryan and I ended the day by going for a walk on Brae Island and doing a little fishing before the sun went down.
I just gotta say....I love where I live. We talked about how one day we might buy a house in town or even a townhouse on the water along with our cabin on the lake <3 In love with our life!!

- - Wild ~ `
I feel like I haven't made a post in awhile. I know it isn't true but it feels like it, cause a lot has happened. So I'm gonna catch up on what I've missed!
I caught my very first Chum! Actually, caught 4 or 5 of em. The fight that they give you before reeling them into shore is absolutely amazing. And then even when you have them on shore, they will still fight! The thrashing and smacking around. And they have these massive fangs as teeth that you have to watch out for cause they will try and bite you. The only pic I have of me with one was captured during a thrash, turned out kind of cool tho! One of the fights I was having with one went on for about 25 mins. I lost him so I didn't even get to see how big he was!! My arms and hands and legs felt like jelly afterward. Ryan and I brought our friend Mark along for the day of fishing. We went out to Stave river in Mission. It was a beautiful day and so much fun hanging out with the boys. I can't wait to go again. Fall fishing is so cool.
Shadow and I went for a walk yesterday. Lately it's been me and my mom and Shadow every day but today she couldn't make it. So Shadow and I walked for over an hour. Just around Cloverdale. There was something about yesterday. The sun had just came out and was shining on all the leaves and trees. With the colors of fall. Especially from the storm from the previous day, tree limbs and leaves were everywhere! It was a beautiful day. I remember thinking to myself, we live in such a beautiful place. We are so lucky. I feel bad for all the people that go through their day to day and never stop to 'smell the roses'. They're missing out.
I'm still going strong with Yoga. And I still love it. I'm starting to feel my body become stronger and I'm able to do certain moves that I couldn't when I first started. I'm going to have to take another break from it soon though. Because I need to get my tattoo touched up along with get the other two tattoo's that I want. I'm so excited for them. Woo!
Other than that life is pretty much the same. Tonight I'm going out with the girls to Gabby's. SO. PUMPED. I love dancing and I love dancing to country music. Hopefully it's a good time!
Then, this weekend Ryan and I hope to go fishing again and I might be going with my mom and dad to Steveston on Saturday. I haven't been there with them in forever and I'm actually looking forward to it. It's been hard for me to go there ever since my aunt passed away as most of my memories with her are there. But it's getting easier now. Then Christina and I may have a training session this Sunday and afterward we plan to have lunch and maybe get our ears pierced!
Oh! Forgot to mention, I'm reading this book that was suggested to me by my friend, Brittany. It's called 'Wild' but Cheryl Strayed. I'm not finished it yet, but I already know I love it. It's my kinda book and story. If you haven't heard of it and need a new read, give it a try. It's a little hard to get through in the beginning. And by hard I mean, rip your heart out of your chest, smash with a hammer and then pour some salt on there. BUT, it starts to lift you back up again slowly. So good, I can't wait to see how it ends. And, the book is just full of amazing quotes.

Focus on the good things ; Always
Yesterday was not one of my better days.
Sometimes I let the negativity of the world around me get to me. Who doesn't? Especially when you have someone who is so negative around you all day. It's hard to not let that bring you down. I try to stay as positive as I can during those moments, but yesterday was an especially hard time to do that.
Once I got home the boyfriend knew I was having one of these days and had a nice hot shower running for me and a delicious salmon dinner in the oven. Oh how I love that man.
Plus, today is my last day dog sitting a dog named Kasey. He's actually been pretty good! And it was awesome getting to know him outside of daycare.
But I'm looking so forward to having a weekend free of dog sitting. Ryan and I plan to get some fishing in. I will finally get to use my wonderful new waders!
I can't wait for Halloween! Ryan and I will be going to the community hall party in Fort Langley. Apparently the entire building gets transformed into a haunted house with a big dance hall. I'm going as Mrs. Daryl Dixon. I got most of my costume yesterday and I'm so excited to see how it will turn out!

- - start each day with a grateful heart **
Today, I am thankful for...
-My family, my love, my friends, my pets, and all the clients that let their pets become a part of my life.
-My job, because I feel like I never 'work' a day in my life.
-Our little apartment. It may be small and missing a few key things, but we live in one of the best little towns and it's ours <3
-Mountains. Hiking, climbing, trails, trees, lakes, waterfalls, streams, rivers. All of it. Just everything about them.
-Fishing. The peace that I've found that accompanies it is truely fantastic.
-Yoga, this new obession that I found has become a great release for me.
I think I could go on for forever about things that I am thankful for. Life is grand and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone <3

"Omg I totally had a crush on EVERY boy"
Had dinner with my beautiful best friend the other night.
It was a blast. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time, it felt so good! Reminiscing on our younger days.
Good lord we were nerds. But awesome nerds! And I wouldn't have it any other way. Some of our stories I don't think we would share with anyone else. Which makes us so special I think :) Friends since grade 2! How many of ya'll can say that?!
We're going to Seattle together next month which I'm sure will be so awesome.
Look out Seattle.
Haha

Good afternoon blog :)
Today is Monday. Which isn't that bad. It doesn't even feel like a Monday actually. It's an absolutely beautiful day and tonight is relaxing time with my wonderful boyfriend. We plan to bake cupcakes tonight and decorate them and, of course, eat them!
This weekend was a good one. Friday night was Kelsey's birthday at the Henry. We had a pre-party at her new place and then off to the bar. It was pretty fun! I got to see my friend Eli who I haven't seen in years! Such a nice surprise. He's getting married! Wait... This thursday he's getting married! He's actually the funniest and cutest little thing. It was awesome catching up with other people that I haven't seen in such a long time as well.
The Henry was alright. To be completely honest, I'm not a big fan of it anymore. Just my opinion. But I'll still go to celebrate with my friends if they choose ;)
Saturday was a great day. Why? Because Ryan and I did NOTHING. That's right. Nothing. I, the girl who is up every day by 6am, slept till 8am. Didn't get out of bed till 9. We made the biggest and most delicious breakfast. Drank Tea. Watched movies. Baked banana bread. Then ordered sushi for dinner. It was fabulous. It was also the Zombie walk in fort langley that day. Which was cool to watch. It felt so nice to do nothing. I think I needed a day like that so badly.
Sunday was the CIBC breast cancer run for the cure! I thought lots of other people were supposed to be there as they said they were going on Facebook, but it turned out to be just me and Brittany :) Which was actually a lot of fun! A good way to spend the morning with one of your best friends. I even ran into one of my favourite daycare clients, met lots of cool people and got lots of cool goodies. JRFM was there and I finally got a new bumper sticker! But I think I'll hang on to that for my new truck.
The run was fun! 5k. We ran most of it! I was very proud of myself. I think the motivation from all the other people running with you helped for sure. It was a cool feeling running with that many people. First time I've ever done something like that before.
After the run I hungout with my Momma and brother for a bit at home and then headed back to the apartment and just relaxed as the soreness from the run started to set in.
We eventually took the dogs out for a nice evening walk and let them run in the park for a bit.
We later made a delicious salmon dinner. I'm going to be so sad when were out of salmon. On to trout! Haha.
This morning I went for a walk through Tynehead with my mom and Shadow. We've been trying to walk through the park at least once a day. Plus tynehead is looking so beautiful lately with all the leaves changing color. I love it.
I finally went back to Yoga this morning. I've missed it so much! Because of my tattoo I had to hold off until it was healed. It feels so good to be back. I could feel some of the stress I've been holding onto just lift away. I love it a lot more than I thought I would. I just wish it wasn't so bloody expensive!

Zac Brown; I could listen to you sing to me all day, everyday
"keep your heart above your head and you eyes wide open
So this world can't find a way to leave you cold
And know you're not the only ship out on the ocean
Save your strength for things that you can change
Forgive the ones you can't
You gotta let 'em go
So this world can't find a way to leave you cold
And know you're not the only ship out on the ocean
Save your strength for things that you can change
Forgive the ones you can't
You gotta let 'em go
you only get once chance at life to leave your mark upon it
And like the fear that grabs a hold of ya; let it go
Let it go
Let it go
Let it go
Let it go
