We got home from camping yesterday and I ended up being able to go to work for a couple hours. It was great seeing some of the pups. I always miss them whenever I go away on vacation.
After work Ryan and I were both so tired that the thought of making dinner sounded exhausting. So we decided to go for a drive and get some Holy Falafel. The clouds we're looking super cool last night. We decided last minute to stop with our food along River Rd in Glenn Valley to watch some of the sunset. Great decision.
I'm so bad...I bought ANOTHER tentree tank top. But it's soooo preeeettyyy...I need help :/ haha
Today, 80% of Christina and I's conversation has been about our hiking and kayaking plans. I get butterflies for how excited I am for all of it!! All I need to do is win the lottery so I can buy as many kayaks as I want and all the cool hiking gear I want.
We're hopefully doing Lindeman hike this Sunday, as long as the weather behaves. Fingers crossed!
Another beyond awesome thing? DENISE AND I ARE GOING TO PAUL BRANDT AND DEAN BRODY CONCERT! WOO! I've never seen Dean Brody but I love the guy. I have seen Paul Brandt before and he's so great. Most of my childhood I remember listening to his music so it's extra special going to his concerts.

"Where's your bobber?"
Blue Lake gave us yet another amazing weekend. The weather was even wonderful for the most part.
The fish we're so beautiful. They had all their spawning colours out and we're looking fabulous. While we were at Nahatlatch I caught a White Mountain Fish which are apparently pretty rare to hook because of their tiny mouths. He was super heavy and put on such a fun fight. Letting him go was wicked. He even stood still for a nice photo :)
Chilling with Ryan and Kobe was one of my favourite things to do. Kobe was hilarious. He would stand on the very edge of the dock and watch our bobbers. If they started to move or go under, he would play bow or start to cry. A big help a couple times haha. He of course ended up falling into the lake one time when he got too excited about a fish I was reeling in. Guess he learned the hard way on that one. We laughed pretty hard at the poor guy.
Some of the views we got from the dock of the lake were just spectacular.
Even though the clouds decided to show the day that we decided to do the hike up to the top of the resort, it turned out to be amazing still. It was actually awesome seeing the view in a different way. Realizing that Kelsey forgot her 'Selfie Stick' in my backpack gave us the opportunity to get some cool pictures. As lame as I felt using it, haha, it actually made me want one!
On our way up the trail we found the tree that Ryan had carved our initials into last year :) I hope it stays there forever <3
We spent most of Saturday and Sunday exploring the area of Nahatlatch. Even though we didn't find the big glorious trout we we're looking for, it was still a wonderful place to drive and walk around. Felt like we we're the only ones in the whole park. We even saw some pretty deer at one point
A couple random pictures from the trip that didn't fit anywhere else. My yummy breakfast that I made for us and a view of the Fraser River from Boston Bar.

Teapots and Sunfish
Amazing past few days <3
Saturday my parents drove out to our place and we all went in my truck to Allouette Lake to hike the Lower Falls Trail. The waterfall was super big since it's spring and was spraying us to the point where it almost made us soaked. We let the dogs swim in the lake which they loved.
After the hike Ryan and I made lunch for everyone and then my parents went home and Ryan and I went fishing where I ended up catching a fairly decent sized trout.
Sunday morning I drove out to Cloverdale and picked up Kelsey and we drove to Christina's house where we then headed to Chilliwack to meet up with my friend Steve and hike Teapot Hill.
It was SO much fun. We wished it lasted longer but Kelsey had to be back early so I guess it was the perfect hike for that day. We got so excited and decided to plan that Lindeman would be our next hike and we already have tons more lined up for after that! I can't wait to start making my scrapbook of all the hikes we do this spring and summer. We're gonna be the hiking queens! ;)
After hiking on Sunday I had a nap, which was much needed haha, and then met up with Ryan and our friend Mike and we went fishing, yet again haha, and I got to mark two more species off my fishing list :) A beautiful sunfish and my first bass!
Happy that today is Tuesday cause that means it's only two more sleeps till Blue Lake! Woo!
