Blue Lake gave us yet another amazing weekend. The weather was even wonderful for the most part.
The fish we're so beautiful. They had all their spawning colours out and we're looking fabulous. While we were at Nahatlatch I caught a White Mountain Fish which are apparently pretty rare to hook because of their tiny mouths. He was super heavy and put on such a fun fight. Letting him go was wicked. He even stood still for a nice photo :)
Chilling with Ryan and Kobe was one of my favourite things to do. Kobe was hilarious. He would stand on the very edge of the dock and watch our bobbers. If they started to move or go under, he would play bow or start to cry. A big help a couple times haha. He of course ended up falling into the lake one time when he got too excited about a fish I was reeling in. Guess he learned the hard way on that one. We laughed pretty hard at the poor guy.
Some of the views we got from the dock of the lake were just spectacular.
Even though the clouds decided to show the day that we decided to do the hike up to the top of the resort, it turned out to be amazing still. It was actually awesome seeing the view in a different way. Realizing that Kelsey forgot her 'Selfie Stick' in my backpack gave us the opportunity to get some cool pictures. As lame as I felt using it, haha, it actually made me want one!
On our way up the trail we found the tree that Ryan had carved our initials into last year :) I hope it stays there forever <3
We spent most of Saturday and Sunday exploring the area of Nahatlatch. Even though we didn't find the big glorious trout we we're looking for, it was still a wonderful place to drive and walk around. Felt like we we're the only ones in the whole park. We even saw some pretty deer at one point
A couple random pictures from the trip that didn't fit anywhere else. My yummy breakfast that I made for us and a view of the Fraser River from Boston Bar.
