Fish & Oscars

Didn't get up to too much this past weekend.
Ryan and I went fishing on Saturday down to one of our favourite spots. We caught a few cute little trout but not the big steelhead I was hoping for. Hopefully next weekend! It was absolutely gorgeous out though. I was wearing my waders and remember thinking how I wish I was in capri's. Although, the water we had to cross to get to our fishing spot would have been very cold without the waders haha. Once we got back home after fishing we made a yummy lunch and sat at our table to eat and people watch. A lot of strange people come to Fort Langley haha. We then took the dogs for a nice drive into the country and drove to our favourite spot at the top of the hill on Bradner Road to watch some of the sunset. We stopped at the river to let the dogs run before heading home. That night we watched a movie together and then Mark came and joined us and we all hungout for a bit. We all picked a weekend in April to go to Blue Lake. I'm super excited to go back there for a third time! I miss our little cabin <3
Sunday I woke up at 8:30am....it was glorious. I know it may seem early still for some of you, but for me it was sleeping in late and it felt amazing. When I got up I watched some T.V and made a cake for my family for later that evening as it was the OSCARS. My family and I always get together every year to watch them. We all voted separately for all the different categories and my Dad beat us all! I did terrible! Haha
I must say though, the Oscars weren't that great this year! I still had an amazing time laughing with my family and seeing some of my favourite stars but there has definitely been better years in the past. It was amazing seeing Julie Andrews :) Made me super happy. There were also a few fantastic speeches that made me smile. So happy for some of the winners, they deserved it!

Back to Monday YET AGAIN. I don't even know where the time has gone! It's the last week of February already. Spring will be here before we know it.
